This SATA 3Gbit per second SATA cable meets the SATA II standards and features. With transfer rates of up to 3 Gbps it is able to transfer data twice as fast than the previous SATA 1.5 Gbps standard. Usage areas are internal SATA connections of various devices, such as Hard drives or flash memory to the controller boad / main board. The SATA 3 Gbps interface is backwards compatible to older versions.
